Seasoned Chicken and Cabbage

I have been partial to our Air Fryer lately so I thought that was the perfect way to cook up the chicken breasts I bought over the weekend and some farm market cabbage. This was one of my favorite types of meals, just a girl in the kitchen making it up as she goes along. It hit the spot and happily have some leftovers, so I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Breasts (2 bone in, skin on)
  • Paprika (4 TBSP)
  • Italian Seasoning (2 TBSP)
  • Garlic Powder (1-2 TBSP)
  • Onion Powder (1-2 TBSP)
  • Cabbage (1 medium head, sliced)
  • Onion (1, sliced)
  • Broth (1/2 cup beef broth)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Kitchen items you’ll need:

  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Air Fryer
  • Saute Pan

Cooking Instructions:    

  1. Remove chicken from package and pat dry. Drizzle with oil and coat with rub (paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic and onion powder)
  2. Cook chicken in air fryer at 370 for 40-45 minutes (use meat thermometer to check for 165 degree temp)
  3. Slice or chop onion and cabbage.
  4. In large saute pan, add oil and cook onion until they’re soft and begin to caramelize.
  5. Add cabbage and and broth to pan and cover to cook down. Allow cabbage to cook to desired doneness.
  6. Serve chicken over cabbage.
