Seasoned Chicken and Cabbage
I have been partial to our Air Fryer lately so I thought that was the perfect way to cook up the chicken breasts I bought over the weekend and some farm market cabbage. This was one of my favorite types of meals, just a girl in the kitchen making it up as she goes along. It hit the spot and happily have some leftovers, so I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
- Chicken Breasts (2 bone in, skin on)
- Paprika (4 TBSP)
- Italian Seasoning (2 TBSP)
- Garlic Powder (1-2 TBSP)
- Onion Powder (1-2 TBSP)
- Cabbage (1 medium head, sliced)
- Onion (1, sliced)
- Broth (1/2 cup beef broth)
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Kitchen items you’ll need:
- Knife
- Cutting Board
- Air Fryer
- Saute Pan
Cooking Instructions:
- Remove chicken from package and pat dry. Drizzle with oil and coat with rub (paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic and onion powder)
- Cook chicken in air fryer at 370 for 40-45 minutes (use meat thermometer to check for 165 degree temp)
- Slice or chop onion and cabbage.
- In large saute pan, add oil and cook onion until they’re soft and begin to caramelize.
- Add cabbage and and broth to pan and cover to cook down. Allow cabbage to cook to desired doneness.
- Serve chicken over cabbage.
